I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated when I first saw the half thong. It’s not my usual pair of underwear, I wasn’t really sure about the fit, and I wasn’t really sure if I would come back to them after the review. This is a JOK Half Thong from a mystery company called Fashion Vogue Underwear. They’re made somewhere in China, and you can find them on EBay.
The material on the pouch is a nice, smooth fabric, but it also takes a pretty heavy elastic to keep it in place, so it doesn’t feel quite as pleasant throughout. The side is mostly waistband, and it digs a bit, mostly in the back. Most of my concern was how it would stay on, and whether it would stay on, and it turned out to be a pretty reasonable concern. Wearing it means I’m always leaning to the left, and a bit cramped. If I’m too hard, then I stick out the top, and if I’m too soft, then I slip out the bottom. It takes a lot of maintenance to wear it for more than a striptease, which is about all that I’ve decided to use it for. I’m wearing a medium in the pictures, and they might stay on better by going a size down, but then they would dig into me even more.
Here’s our ranking system for fit. I would put these at Flirting Material.
Flirting Material: It fits okay, great to wear out for a short amount of time.
Hook Up Material: The fit is much better, sits well and wears well but might not be comfortable for all day wear.
Dating Material: The fit is great, sits well, accentuates the positives and wears really well – suitable for all day wear.
Match Made in Heaven: You love the fit, you love the style, best undies you’ve worn in years and will be a part of your regular wear.
These pictures are from an exciting date night. After going out, we snuck into this stairwell for a few pictures, and maybe…some other activities…and then ran off into the night. They were too uncomfortable for me to wear all the way back home, but I did make my favorite discovery about this underwear, which is that you can take them off completely without removing an outer layer. A nice way to preview the rest of the evening and tease a date…especially when they’re driving and can’t do anything about it yet…so all in all, it worked out for the best.
