Review-Urban Active Pro Stretch Trunk

Hey guys, for this review we changed it up a bit and gave two people one pair to both try out and rate.  So, of course I shared these White Urban Active Pro-Stretch Trunks with Jake.  I definitely like the idea of sharing a pair of undies, and obviously let Jake try them out first so I could get them used 😉

Now as most of you know I am more of a jockstrap guy, so trunks are not my usual choice of underwear on a normal day.  These are pretty basic looking as far as style and construction goes, but I was impressed of course by the sleek shiny waistband.  Sometimes a hint of bling on a basic solid can be the perfect blend without going too far.  The silver is nice to flash a bit of waistband and let ride above your jeans or gym shorts.  So for looks, I give kudos for the nice masculine basic look and the sexy waistband.

As for fit, it is kind of hard for me to really give a true commentary.  I usually wear a size Small, and these were a Medium.  The waist fit fine, I did not notice the wider band digging in as some people have experienced.  The material is a 95% cotton/5% spandex blend, which is a nice mix for an all day wear.  Again, because these were a bit big on me, they did not fit my legs and butt as snug as I would like.  But I don’t imagine that being an issue if I were wearing a Small.  When I do wear trunks and boxer briefs I do like a very athletic snug, stretchy, comfy fit.

The construction and design I do feel is pretty basic and generic.  There is really no built in support and pouch to hold the package.  Now again, I am a jock and thong wearer.  So I am used to pouchy underwear and tend to like briefs and trunks that also have built in pouches or material and a cut that lifts and supports.  If you like a more basic, less binding and lifting fit these will work very well.

So overall, I do feel these are a more athletic look, fit and feel.  I do see where these will be a perfect match for those seeking a less constructed fit and a more basic look.  For me, I would prefer some more construction, pouch, seam work.  I do love the sleek look and waistband on these, so still a win for me!

As a reminder, here is our Undies 101 rating system:

Flirting Material: It fits okay, really great to wear out for a short amount of time.Hookup Material: The fit is much better, sits well and wears well, but might not be comfortable for all day wear.
Dating Material: The fit is great, sits well, accentuates the positives and wears really well – suitable for all day wear.
Match Made in Heaven: You love the fit, you love the style, best undies you’ve worn in years and will be part of your regular wear.

This said, I would rate these Hookup material.  I think they are fine for all day wear, but do not love the overall fit and construction.  I do realize that these are just not necessarily my style, so I do recommend checking them out.  Well worth it if what I describe fits your needs and style.

Thanks to the team at Urban Active for supplying the trunks for review!
