so, here in NY State this week, the state legislators decided to vote and not pass a bill that would have made same sex marriage legal. While it doesn’t sound like much, NY has always been considered a progressive state, and there was a lot of hope that this would pass. It has passed the State Assembly many times now. The Senate is still apparently in the dark ages and doesn’t believe in equality…and that has me a bit bummed…
