Still hot here in NYC. Nothing new there. I tried to do as little as possible today. I got up with a horrid headache and lounged for a bit with some coffee. Got up and did some grooming…time to trim the pubes, trim the goatee, shave, etc…and then got ready to hit the gym. It was too damn hot to run outside. Wasn’t feeling all that hot, so I decided to just hit the treadmill and walk at an incline for a bit rather than play with the kettlebells. Not a bad calorie burn for a half hour…then off to the post office to mail off some packages and then the grocery store and home as all I wanted to do the rest of the afternoon/evening was sit in the air conditioning. So far, so good with that plan. For those of you wondering what’s happening with the trainer/gym crush…I’ve worked up enough nerve to actually say hello, and in ironies of ironies he hasn’t been at the gym the same time as me in I don’t know how long – save once – when he was training a client and not the appropriate time to say hello at all. We’ll just have to wait and see if I’ve blown my chance.
Out of the shower this morning, I wanted a bit of colour under the shorts, and when I opened the drawer this little bit of yellow was sticking up and I knew. That was the pair for today. They’re an older, and well worn in pair of 2xist from the Varsity line. I got them from a friend who had broken them in before I got them…so they are well worn and comfortable. Just the thing for the hottest day of a heatwave!
