I have several styles of swimwear and my answer really is “Depends on where I am”.
If I am at the gym or end up at a public pool I will wear short loose trunks. Like these Speedo brand style trunks.
If I am at an event more adult in nature but still need to be covered then I will go with something like this light blue Pistol Pete bikini with the orange shear accents.
Now don’t get me wrong I love my underwear and swimwear but, If I have the option to legally be naked at the beach or a pool. I usually shuck the swimwear and enjoy the sun in the buff.
