Hey guys! I am here to review a fun new jockstrap that I just received in the mail! It is from a brand I have never tried before, called PIPE. From what I can tell, it has been around since about 2008. I have seen them around here and there over the last year or so, but never grabbed a pair. You can find some more info on the brand by searching online, including ebay and even Pinterest.
This jock is from their Waves collection. It is very sporty and masculine looking, with a bold 2 inch waistband sporting the brand logo and collection name along with some stripes. The waistband draws you in and provides a great color contrast in white and navy. It is complemented by a solid white front/pouch and navy straps. This is very interesting almost hybrid style jock. The front has a fuller cut almost similar to a bikini/brief. Typically, jocks with a fuller cut front have the “air jock” back or open hole cut out into the back. This jock, however, has classic jockstraps. I was hesitant when I saw this cut and style. I love the waistband, but the design caught me off guard.
I was delightfully surprised when I pulled these on. The pouch is a cotton/spandex blend. It is soft and provides a snug brief like support and feel up front (and for having more material and coverage, you can actually show some bulge in this). The classic style straps fit and feel like a traditional jock. While the design almost contradicts itself, it is kind of a conversation piece. No one looking at the front would expect the jock back and vise versa. I actually like that feeling of wearing briefs and a jock at the same time!
Overall, good coverage and support for all day wear under work clothes or a good workout. The unique design puts a more fashion forward spin on a simple, classic masculine look. From what I see online of PIPE underwear collections, they tend to be fun and modern in design. One note, I typically go between a small and medium. These are a large, and while they are a bit loose it appears that sizing might run slightly smaller. I would go with a size up if you straddle sizes or question how to go.
I would totally check more PIPE undies out, and recommend you pick up a pair when you run across them!
