It’s Saturday – the 14th of April 2012. The 100th Anniversary of the Titanic sinking. It’s been 100 years and yet the legend of the Titanic lives on and the fascination grows. I have been a bit fascinated with the Titanic since I can remember. I don’t know why, I remember learning about it in grade school and since then, the fascination has grown. I remember reading, years and years ago that they were going to build a replica for the 100th Anniversary and sail the route. My friend and I actually talked about taking that voyage – but it never came to pass – at least the replica that is. I don’t know what it is that fascinates me, it just does. I’ve watched all the specials this week and tonight am recording the ABC special and am instead watching the James Cameron DVD right now – I think I have it timed so the ship in the movie hits the iceberg at the same time it would have hit the iceberg…
I got up and lounged around for a bit and had some coffee and then went for a run in the park. It’s the first time that I have actually run in Central Park (by myself, without my running coach) in the 12 years I’ve lived on the park. I came home and showered and wanted to just be comfortable, so I pulled on these black trunks after my shower. I don’t even know where they came from or what brand they are anymore. They are wicked comfortable though – so soft. They sit really well and I love the way they feel on.
