American Apparel Cobalt Swim Brief

I received my long awaited order from American Apparel yesterday.  Got a couple tank tops, a pair of briefs (you’ll see those later), and this swim brief you see here.  Now I have always been curious about brief style swimsuits but never had the courage to try them out.  Always thought they were sexy.  I’m used to the board short style that go below the knees.  But I am starting to get sick of wearing that style, as it has a tone of extra material hat doesn’t help and only gets in the way, kind of like boxers.  Board shorts serve no purpose and aren’t flattering by any means, so I decided enough was enough and got myself a swim brief.
I love the color off right off the bat.  The fit is a tiny bit tight, I got the XS and wonder how the Small would have fit.  It doesn’t have as good as a bulge factor as I thought it would, but it certainly does a great job of holding everything in place.  There is no slack in the pouch what so ever.  It fits me well, I love the color, and I love the style.  The only drawback I can think of is that these have no drawstring. Wonder how they would hold up if  I was in the ocean and a strong wave came.  Would they stay on? Or could I easily lose them? Going to have to wait until summer to find out.

I can’t believe I waited this long to venture into the world of sexy swimwear.  Does anyone have a pool I can try these out in?

  1. They certainly do! kinda worried about the lack of drawstring, but i will see. Just like their undies, they have 11 colors to choose from and 2 patterned prints as well. Check em out! And I will check out N2N’s collection, thanks for the recommendation! I’m so sick of board shorts hah

  2. those look great on you and I echo Dakota’s comments about fitting you like a glove and you would love n2n bodywear I think…they’ve got some great stuff!
