I guess I’m spoiled. I live in a major market, and my local news is designed and delivered as such. I’m in a Tier 1 market – and you’d better keep up or you won’t be there long. I’m currently staying in an area where the local news wouldn’t even keep up with a college broadcast in a major market. Grammar and enunciation are nowhere to be found, it’s really sad. The anchor tonight has a lisp that is extremely distracting to go along with his accent. It’s like Elmer Fudd doing the news. I don’t even know what market it is…I miss alot of things – my own bed, my own pillows, my array of clothes at my fingertips…but I miss my news and knowing that the folks delivering it are taking it seriously…
