so, I’m watching the state of the union address as I type this. After 8 years of cringing at every Bush State of the Union, I am wondering what to expect of tonight’s. I am at a point in time that I don’t know that I trust the man I voted for, and helped to elect to office. Everything he said he was going to do for GLBT rights has been left by the wayside. He has let hundreds of people be kicked out of the military under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, a policy that he himself said was reprehensible and should be repealed, yet no action has been taken. He remained silent when our rights were put up for vote after vote. Where is our fierce advocate. We are 40 minutes into the speech at this point, and still no mention of any of his campaign promises on GLBT issues. And people wonder, why I’m left wondering.
