It’s Valentine’s Day as well as Presidents’ Day weekend here in Minneapolis, MN. Normally, my partner, Mark, and I would spend this weekend together. However, his part time job at a local pizza joint was short staffed, Mark (being the kindhearted man he is and I love) went in to help out. Instead of sitting home alone with the cats, I decided to go workout in the new Poseidon Fitness attire I got recently.
In case, you forgot or you didn’t read my first review, Poseidon Fitness started as a small startup in the UK in 2017. It took a two-year hiatus and now is under new ownership in beautiful, sunny and warm San Diego, California. Their goal is “to provide our customers with classic and modern style for the gym and beyond at a reasonable price.”
I received two items in the mail. The first item was an athletic fitted large sleeveless black tee with the Poseidon Fitness logo on the front called The Shredder. It’s designed to show off all of your hard work in the gym also the yoga studio (like yours truly). Since the shirt is an athletic fit, it is snugger and more tapered. If you are not a fan of it, I strongly suggest going up a size or two.
The second item I got in the mail was the large, grey runner short. I will admit when I pulled these out, my partner and I swooned over them. They look stunning and the fit was perfect. The short has zipper pockets in the front, so if you happen to go on a run, you can just put your key fob in the pocket and enjoy your run. Besides, who has actual car keys anymore? The fit for the runner short is classic (basically athletic fit), however, if you have big quads like me and my partner, go a size up.
Today, I went to my gym and did some weightlifting in the Poseidon gear. First off, it’s unusually cold here in Minneapolis. Today’s high was -5 (the low tonight will be -23. Your freezer is warmer than Minneapolis tonight). Compare that to where Poseidon Fitness is (a balmy 65 degrees in sunny San Diego), it is cold. I get to the gym and the gym is a bit chilly, so I am wearing my tights underneath the shorts. Even with the long tights, the runner short worked great during my workout. Normally, when I wear a sleeveless tee, I show more nipple area than I really care for and my other shirts tend to bunch up when I am sitting down doing twisted arm curls. However, with this shirt, it didn’t bunch up and I felt confident in what I was wearing and the workout itself.
As you know we do things a little differently here at Undies101 when it comes to reviews. Our ratings scale is:
Flirting Material: It fits okay, great to wear out for a short amount of time.
Hook Up Material: The fit is much better, sits well and wears well but might not be comfortable for all day wear.
Dating Material: The fit is great, sits well, accentuates the positives and wears really well – suitable for all day wear.
Match Made in Heaven: You love the fit, you love the style, best undies you’ve worn in years and will be a part of your regular wear.
For me, this was a Match Made in Heaven. I am definitely wearing them again. Hell, they are going into our workout wear rotation at home. I will reiterate, the Shredder and runner short are true to size. If you want a looser feel go a size up. But if you want a true fit, stick to the size you are. By the way, the amazingly, awesome folks at Poseidon Fitness have provided our readers with a one time discount code for 25% off!
