Do you wear undershirts, should one wear them?
I do wear them occassionally, but not all the time. I generally wear a tshirt under sweaters, not necessarily an undershirt and I do wear an undershirt under buttondowns all the time and under wool or cashmere sweaters. Undershirts can be very helpful at keeping deodoarant stains off of shirts or sweaters and do tend to keep some moisture away from your outer layers, more so than if you weren’t wearing one. If you’re going to consider an undershirt though as a way helping to prevent underarm stains, you need to go with a short sleeved one and not a tank style.
