Review – Big Boy Mini Briefs

Let me preface by stating that photos are coming, but I haven’t had a chance to snap ’em yet, so check back in a few days.

There will be a lot of Big Boys comparisons to Obviously, so I thought I’d address the similarities and differences.  Of course, this is specific to my body type – 6 ft tall, slender, decent sized package, and a lil booty (this will be more helpful once pics come).

First, the fabric. Both brands use a combination of uber-soft modal and elastane (though I’m unsure of the percentages for Obviously), which is a plus in my book because I’m in love with modal and I think it’s worth the higher price point (than cotton).

The cut. Both are pretty similar at a glance. The main difference here are the pouch and the back. The Big Boys pouch is slightly more generous than Obviously, so if you’re naturally…um, talented…you might prefer the roominess of Big Boys. I actually find the back to be more flattering on me in Big Boys, which is a bonus.

The style. Also similar, but the waistband is the main distinguishing feature. The plethora of colors is nice for variety. If you’re the type to stick with one style of underwear, this is a nice opportunity to spice up your underwear drawer.

Our rating scale is:
Flirting Material: It fits okay, really great to wear out for a short amount of time.

Hookup Material: The fit is much better, sits well and wears well, but might not be comfortable for all day wear.

Dating Material: The fit is great, sits well, accentuates the positives and wears really well – suitable for all day wear.

Match Made in Heaven: You love the fit, you love the style, best undies you’ve worn in years and will be part of your regular wear.

For my body type, and factoring in comfort (I really love that modal), I’d say these are definite Dating Material.
