Fitness Challenge Update-Dakota

Hey guys!  Checking in after the first week of our challenge.  I am embarrassed to say that the circumstances of my past week have steered me away from actually putting myself through Shaun’s challenge.  However, I did still get lots of physical activity and workout in and I will be adding the challenge into my routines this week.

I spent all week dealing with a bad cold, working 12+hour days at work, and then a sore back with pulled muscles.  I spent 3 days all over Ohio State campus for work walking all over, hiking lots of stairs, and lifting and moving tons of boxes of heavy board, paper, and materials.  So, I actually got my lifting and some cardio in while working!  I did go to the gym a couple of times and do cardio as well in the evenings.

After a few days of waking up hardly able to move, I am pushing myself to add the challenge exercises to my  regular cardio and workouts.  It will be a great way to start them out and focus on my target area of my core/midesction.  I have them all in my notebook and will be tracking this week!  Jake and I are also planning on adding an eliptical machine along with our dumbells to create a little home gym alternative for the days when scheduling and work makes it hard to get to the gym.

I hope everyone is having a good time with their first weeks of the challenge and look forward to seeing how everyone is doing!!
