Review: Tani Underwear Air Lift Brief

Hi all! So we’ve been sent some Tani to wear and review for you all. We’re doing things a bit uniquely this week. When we were in contact with Tani, they said they sometimes get feedback that they run a bit small. They sent us briefs in Medium, Large and XL. We’ve got myself and AJ that are Mediums reviewing the Medium and Large and Rich who is typically a Large reviewing the XL, so you’ll get some good feedback on the sizing you should choose – along with all the typical review information. I’m up first with this black pair of Airlift briefs in Medium.

First, a bit about Tani though. Straight from their website: “Tani USA makes the worlds best, most comfortable mens and women’s undergarments that will change the way you think and feel about underwear.”  Tani strive to set a new standard in underwear and do this through innovation in every aspect of the garment. They used new and patented fabrics to develop a better waistband. It simply feels better and fits unlike any other. Despite the amazing soft feel of their garments they are made with high durability and easy washability to ensure long lasting use. They source materials from around the world that are both rare and innovative, they work closely with fibre and yarn developers and employ unique knitting technologies to produce the finest and smoothest fabrics. I also love that they believe in sustainability. They believe in responsible consumption and aim to produce with minimal impact to the environment. Their raw materials are sourced from renewable resources and they require fabric mills to adhere to high environmental standards that include extensive recycling and a focus on green manufacturing.  They also own and operate their own manufacturing facility so they can ensure that they adhere to their own high standards.

I don’t know much about the Airlift briefs, specifically, as I can’t find them on their website anywhere, and there wasn’t much information included in the packaging. I know that they are made of Tencel, and that that fabric is an extremely fine fabric created in Europe for high comfort and high performance. Despite its fine texture and soft hand, this fabric is a hard worker, able to wick away 50% more moisture than cotton. It’s naturally hygienic and inhibits bacterial growth. Derived entirely from Eucalyptus, sourced from sustainable Austrian forests, and finished through a highly eco-friendly process, Tani underwear made with Micro Tencel® is so soft, it can be worn comfortably on the most sensitive skin.

Now, for the fun part of my review. My thoughts. These are the medium pair, and I’m looking forward to hearing what AJ has to say about the sizing of the Large pair on Wednesday. These are super soft and super comfortable, they have a covered waistband, so no pinching or binding. I was a bit apprehensive about the Medium as we were warned that they tend to run small, and I am not where I’d like to be weight wise, but getting there. According to the Tani site, Medium is 30-32″, which should mean a bit of tightness for me, potentially. These fit like a glove. There is no tightness at all. We’ll see what happens after a wash and dry, but as for now, putting them on right out of package, they’re a great fit! They are going to be great I feel, on this super hot and humid day as I move around the city and work. I’ve got a bit of running around today, so I’m quite happy that I have this pair on. They breathe well, fit well, and move well with me. My only wish is that they were cut a bit lower, and not quite as full in the back, but not enough to not wear them. These are a great pair of basic black briefs, and everyone needs a pair of basic black, comfortable and sexy briefs in their collection. tani

Our ratings scale, in case you forgot is:

Flirting Material:  It fits okay, great to wear out for a short amount of time.

Hook Up Material:  The fit is much better, sits well and wears well but might not be comfortable for all day wear.

Dating Material:  The fit is great, sits well, accentuates the positives and wears really well – suitable for all day wear.

Match Made in Heaven:  You love the fit, you love the style, best undies you’ve worn in  years and will be a part of your regular wear.

I am going to rate these somewhere between Dating Material and Match Made in Heaven. They are definitely great for all day wear, and I do love the fit and fabric. I think if they were a bit more low rise they would have easily be thrown into the Match Made in Heaven category.

Huge thanks to Tani for providing these Airlift briefs and all the other briefs you’ll see reviewed this week, and from me, Undiesboy, I would say, head on over to their website and check out what they have to offer if you want a great pair of briefs!
