I live in NYC, so it’s not like I don’t think it is going to get cold at some point in time. I usually enjoy the cold when it comes with snow…snow makes things (even the cold, gray city) pretty. But the cold weather also makes walking seem like a chore. And lets face it, in most major cities people tend to walk – a LOT. Same everywhere I have been – NYC, Chicago, London, Zurich, Hamburg, Melbourne, Sydney, San Francisco – and the only exception is Los Angeles where they drive everywhere – lazy fuckers. =)
I guess it is symptomatic of taking public transit and then walking the rest of the journey. Who knows. At any rate, I am prepped and ready for the cold today in these camo 3/4 length long johns. I got them a few years ago off the eBay and I don’t even know what brand they are to be honest. They are super comfortable and easy to wear. The fact that they are 3/4 length is perfect for days like today, where it isn’t frigid, but you do want a bit of an extra layer to help you stave off the cold.
