This is the first pair of Tommy Hilton briefs I’ve ever owned. In all honesty, I had never even heard of the company until I was offered a pair for review. However, I’m always up for trying new brands and styles, so I figured, what the hell? I’ll give them a shot.
As it turns out, they are very comfortable. The combination of cotton and spandex makes them very well fitting and breathable, which is very important to me. Due to my active lifestyle, I sweat a lot, so anything that is breathable down there is important, and the Tommy Hilton briefs definitely pass that test. I normally prefer waistbands that are lined on the inside (many tend to give me a rash if they don’t have a soft lining), but the band on here worked out just fine. No issues with irritation or being rubbed raw while I wore them, and I wore them for a good 12+ hours, so after that amount of time with no problems, they pass that test as well.
As for the look, I think they look great, and my wife definitely agreed with me. They keep everything snug and in place, but not so snug that it’s uncomfortable. There’s still plenty of, for lack of a better word, “wiggle room”, so you shouldn’t have any issues with tugging or bunching up in the bulge area.
Honestly, my only real complaint about them is the color. I’m not a fan of white underwear at all, so the color here would not be my first choice. In addition to making the pair look similar to tightie-whities, they turn completely see-through if you sweat a lot. While I don’t mind see-through/sheer underwear, I prefer that it initially comes that way and doesn’t turn that way as a result of just my every day routine.
Overall, though, my results were positive, I’d definitely recommend the Tommy Hilton brand and would consider buying more pairs in the future, especially since I know they also make boxer briefs (one of my wife’s favorite styles).
