Alright boys, this one has admittedly fallen off the wagon a bit. The past few weeks have been a challenge for me for sure. My work schedule is very hectic, with long 10 hour shifts 5 days a week. Most of those are 10-8 or a slight variation by one hour or so. Most days, that blocks out the entire day. I am not a morning person, so waking up early enough to wake up and function to work out is very difficult. By the time I come home, I am wiped as well.
The winter weather has not helped my mood and motivation, so I have slipped entirely on what was a pretty committed attitude towards making progress again with my body. Jake and I have spent the past couple of weeks turning a spare bedroom into a small home gym. We now have it up and running with a weight bench, barbell, dumbbells, elliptical, workout ball, and floor space for core work. So finally I will have the ability and access right at home to get a workout in before or after work without having to add a lot of extra time to get to the gym which is a 15 minute drive away.
So, now I have no excuses and will be getting back into my grind being able to get some kind of workout in daily and hopefully a full gym trip on days off and early shifts. I will try to get some pics with some new gear and the equipment for you next week!!! I applaud all my fellow challengers on their work and progress so far and hope to join you soon on the progress side 😉
