I get to start off our Skmpeez reviews today – there will be another one on Thursday. It’s a nice long week of reviews here. We’ve been doing a bunch of them lately. Have you been enjoying? We hope so. This week there will be reviews of some 2xist undies Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Skmpeez today and Thursday.
I have the pleasure of wearing the Skmpeez Varzity Boxz today. It’s fun and colourful. I thought for today’s review I would focus on Comfort and Looks and that we would start with Looks. It’s a basic black trunk, with the addition of some red piping around the legs and groin and one bit of blue piping on the crotch, making it colourful and adding to the Varsity feel of the styling of the undies. The waistband has red stripes around the back and the Skmpeez logo across the front of it. It’s not too big or too small, just about the right size. I didn’t feel like it was overwhelming at all, a concern I had a first when I saw the size of the waistband.
Next up is comfort and this doesn’t fail. It’s made of 90% cotton and 10% spandex, making it really comfortable and breathable. I generally tend to get concerned with trunks that have piping and elastic at the legs. I have larger thighs and most times piping/elastic at the base of the legs usually leaves me with strangled legs. These were not like that at all. They were quite comfortable for all day wear, and didn’t leave me with strangled legs feeling or cut off circulation. These were really easy to wear and on a day of up and down and back up again I didn’t ever feel the need to adjust. There’s enough room for your goods without them feeling crushed, but not what I would call a pouch. They stretched and moved with me throughout the day. I am a bit concerned about shrinkage after the wash, but we’ll wait and see how that goes.
Now, you all know our ratings scale, but just to recap:
Flirting Material: It fits okay, really great to wear out for a short amount of time.
Hookup Material: The fit is much better, sits well and wears well, but might not be comfortable for all day wear.
Dating Material: The fit is great, sits well, accentuates the positives and wears really well – suitable for all day wear.
Match Made in Heaven: You love the fit, you love the style, best undies you’ve worn in years and will be part of your regular wear.
I would rate these as a definite Dating Material. They’ve been great to wear all day and super comfy. If you’re thinking about the briefs – AJ will have a review of those on Thursday.
Big thanks to the folks at Skmpeez who sent these Varzity Boxz for the purpose of this review. If you’re interested check out the Skmpeez site and pick out some fun undies and colours.
