There isn’t much out there on these half thongs. They came into public attention after a member of The Only Way is Essex (Towie), a british reality tv show, sported them with his bf out whilst on holiday. There’s a lot of attention that comes with Paris Hilton tweets about it. Anyway, it got me thinking. How easy are they to wear? How comfortable? How skimpy? I mean, they look skimpy, but how skimpy are they?
I could only find them on eBay, so if you want one – go there and do a search and have fun with them! The one I got was a bright blue – a fave colour of mine. They are a blend of spandex/nylon and the material feels great! There’s definitely a pouch (and not much else to these) and the strap that holds everything in place. I decided to give these a go and wear them all day. I did bring a back up pair of undies with me if I needed them, as I was really skeptical about these staying on all day.
They did fall off once, I think it was the way I stood up, but I can’t be sure. I also did slip out one other time, but that was totally my fault as I didn’t get my goods back into place appropriately, oops. I was really surprised otherwise, these were great all day, and much more comfortable than I anticipated them being. Definitely a fan, but maybe appropriate for a show than all day wear. At any rate, our ratings scale for review is:
Flirting Material: It fits okay, great to wear out for a short amount of time.
Hook Up Material: The fit is much better, sits well and wears well but might not be comfortable for all day wear.
Dating Material: The fit is great, sits well, accentuates the positives and wears really well – suitable for all day wear.
Match Made in Heaven: You love the fit, you love the style, best undies you’ve worn in years and will be a part of your regular wear.
I give these a Hook Up Material! They’re really fun and comfortable (I should have shaved up a bit, apologies) and I’m sure that you’ll get some good looks and comments when you wear them for the right person, they’re just not great for all day wear!
