When Friday rolls around the weekend begins, for most people. I’m on call weekends, so for about the last year they’ve become a bit less leisurely. I don’t always get called in, or even get a phone call, but I’m working, checking paperwork as it comes in, reading reports and then responding if issues arise. There have only been a few times that issues have arisen, but there’s always the potential. I can’t complain though, it’s not like I have to sit behind my desk all day. I don’t have to be in at 9 and I don’t have to stay until 5 – unless there are meetings that require my presence. So, I take advantage of that, and on days like today – when it’s quiet, I leave early and start the weekend.
I wanted something colourful today. Something bright. Something that would make me giddy. I got these Calvin Klein trunks a while ago – I don’t remember when, but I was drawn to the colours and the graffiti waistband effect. So many colours all just blending together in my pants all day!
