Yes, it might be cold out. It definitely is in NYC, but that doesn’t mean that your underwear selection has to be boring. At least it doesn’t mean mine is. Gone are the days of long johns just being something functional to keep you warm. Waffle knit and blue, black, grey or white/oatmeal. Now there are all kinds of options. Fabric options. Colour and pattern options. Fit options. Cold does not mean boring any more. 
I picked these up a few years ago on the eBay and I really love them. They fit amazingly well, they have a nice pouch on them and a horizontal fly for easy access. They are super soft and super easy to wear, so that’s a plus and they fit even under the skinniest of jeans without adding bulk. All big pluses in my book!
