Disappointment on this #weightyWednesday…

I have to say that now that I’m back home and life is normal again, I’m able to finally participate in my #weightyWednesday promise. I have stepped on the scale again this morning and I am left with disappointment. Instead of going down on the scale, I’ve gone up but 3 pounds. I’m not happy at all, but I’m up to 179lbs. I need to start getting that number down, and to be fair, I am down from yesterday, so that’s good. This is officially one of the heaviest periods of my life and there’s nothing but disappointment. disappointment

I have set out on a new regime at the gym. I’ve started running again, not every day, but running none the less. When I ran, the weight seemed to peel off and stay off. What does all of this tell me about my plans though? It tells me that I have to work harder. It tells me that while I thought I had my eating on track when I was on the road, that might need to be re-evaluated. It tells me that even a few short days off from the gym and a regular cardio routine doesn’t work wonders for my body. So, even in disappointment, there are things that will boost me and keep me going. I will get to my goal weight of 160lbs or below by the end of the year.
