I knew this trip would be interesting, I didn’t know that it would be a bit of a downer. Darkness falls quickly around here, and it’s not pretty. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere – as is the city in general. There’s not too much to do at all around here. I wandered out to see what the sights and shopping were like and even the mall is depressing. The big anchor stores were offering Jockey, Fruit of the Loom and Under Armour boxerbriefs and those were the “high end” brands. I mean, WOW. I definitely wouldn’t want to live around here. The hotel has a giant wall of curtain at the end of it, and I was so excited that would mean a nice wall of windows and lots of light. Nope. Small little window and the rest of the wall? The curtain hid what the hotel is considering a closet. So, no light in the room that isn’t artificial. Ugghhh…depressing when darkness falls like this. Even in the bright light of day I need to leave lights on to see as the window doesn’t allow enough in.
