So I have had a love and hate relationship with 2xist over the years. When I first started branching out and exploring underwear, 2xist were one of the few brands on the market that were doing anything fun – which at the time meant colours other than white in briefs and options like trunks, jocks and thongs. This Sliq line is only a few years old, but it has made me take another look at the brand.
They’ve branched out from tighty whityes in white, black and grey. They have explored cuts that were lower rise and bolder colours. They’ve added some pouches over the years (but not like Almost Naked or N2N) and they’ve generally gone up and down with me. At one point everyone – including the straight guys owned something from 2xist and I think that’s when I started looking elsewhere. I want to wear something I’m not going to see on everyone else. I’m not sure why I love Andrew Christian so much then…but that’s another entry entirely. These Sliq briefs are fun, have a great pattern on them and are really easy to wear. I wish that the pouch were a bit bigger, but I really can’t just have one brand in my drawer.
