I landed last night, after a wretched experience flying Delta. When I got home to the building there was a sign on the front door advising that the hot water would be out from 6am until 1PM for preventative maintenance. It was after 1030PM, surely things would be fine, no? No. No heat, no hot water. Woke up this morning feeling sick (cold/fever/flu) thing and there was still no heat or hot water. There was none when I left for the gym at 1PM – 24 hours after they promised it would come back on. I didn’t really want to go to the gym, but I wanted a hot shower, so I spent some time on the treadmill and with the kettlebells and took my hot shower. Hoped against hope that there would be hot water and heat when I got home from the gym, but to no avail. There is still none now, as I type this at almost midnight. I know that I’m more fortunate than some – who have been without it for days now thanks to the storm, so I really don’t want to complain. It’s just a hassle…I really don’t want to go to the gym tomorrow again just for a shower. Pulled these tricolour blue Andrew Christian bikinis on today…super comfortable and easy to wear.
