Woo-Hoo. Today is Gay PRIDE in NYC, one of the most important days of the year for me living in this city. This is the day that all the boys and girls come out of their proverbial closets to be seen on the streets and show their pride in being gay and alive in 2011. The crowd downtown was INSANE with the recent passing of the NY State Same Sex Marriage bill which passed on Friday night by a very narrow margin thanks to 4 very understanding and risk taking Republicans. Thank you for that! Though I don’t see myself getting married anytime in the near future I am proud to be alive when it is possible for all those who choose too can.
So the rainbow colors are the colors of pride. The pattern took on meaning in the 70’s and 80’s with the creation of the Rainbow Coalition, a gay based organization designed to honor and provide support for diversity in the gay culture. Since then the rainbow flag has become a symbol of gay pride and freedom. It is a the pouch is 96% polyester / 4% spandex mesh of comfort. It feels like the fabric gently hugs my goods and keeps them safely in place. The leg straps and waistband are 70% polyester and 30% natural latex. The waistband is 3 inches in width and feels so secure and good. It makes me feel positioned just right and powerful the way it hugs my abs. The leg straps are 1 inch in width and grip nice and tight around the bottom of my ass. In general the jock feels like great quality and sits just right. It’s almos as if the designers did their research and took a lot of inspiration from the ultimate jock: Bike #10.
