Do you all remember those choose your own adventure books from when you were kids? You’d read a little, there would be an inflection point and you could decide where to go next and it let you create your own path to the ending. Sometimes you took the left branch or the path, and others you would decide to take the right one. The decision you made affected what happened to you next.
It’s not quite the same thing, but sometimes I feel like deciding my underwear every morning is like a choose your own adventure. I get to decide, when I open the drawer every morning what I want to wear. What style. What colour. What brand. Every single one of those decisions has an impact on how I feel about myself for the day and what I’m presenting to the world – or at least all of you that get to see the choice! Today I’m in a bright orange Andrew Christian Almost Naked jockstrap. What I love about this particular jock is how bright the orange actually is, but how much bright it looks contrasted against the black waistband and straps. I don’t know if the orange would have been as bright if they’d chosen to go with white bands and straps.
