RWraith55 1st Evening Run in DC

Well boys I just posted earlier a review of some new gear we got from Apollowear but I really wanted to follow it up with a post about my first evening run in DC at the beginning of this GREAT spring weather. Now I’m not someone who runs all the time. I try to change it up so that I’m getting the most out of every cardio session. With this in mind I decided to forgo the gym last night and take to the streets of downtown DC.

Now, mind you, I’m not as in shape as I would like to be. So I opted for a evening run so that the darkness would aid me in my endeavor to not only be less noticed by others but also so I could do the one thing I wanted to do, which was to sport a pair of N2N Bodywear running tights that I have owned for some time but was too scared to sport solo in public. Below are pics of my evening running outfit.

Besides there pics I also took pics at several stops along the way. It took me just over an hour to run from my apartment to the Capitol and then down the whole length of the National Mall to the Lincoln Memorial and back again. My run included quick stops at the Washington and the WWII Memorials along with the Lincoln. Based on a quick Google Maps calculation, the whole run was about 6 miles and I completed it in just over an hour. So not too bad, but I’m sure if I keep it up I can do better! Below are pics of my various stops along the way.

Oh and finally, I thought I would mention that as I type of this blog post I’m sporting nothing but a pair of N2N Bodywear mesh shorts that I have owned just as long as the running tights. I find them great to sport when I’m just hanging out around the apartment but don’t want to be totally naked. LOL Here are pics of those shorts as well.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post along with the many pics. I plan to post again tomorrow. I need some advice on both brands of running tights as well as long johns for next winter. You can never have enough spandex as well as winter underwear! Chat later!
